Fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders to help the people of Ukraine. Your donation matters

I am incredibly saddened by the news and images coming from Ukraine. Thoughts are with those affected by the attacks currently unfolding. It's heartbreaking that this manmade crisis is happening amid a global pandemic and climate emergency, but now is not the time to dwell. Ukraine is a country which boasts incredible sights, history and culture and we stand with colleagues and friends in this terrible time. There are no people in my entourage who support the war in Ukraine. Ordinary people in Russia and Ukraine did not want this, they have no reason to be hostile and enter into conflict.
As many of you, I am also completely helpless when it comes to the Ukraine conflict. To imagine how many innocent people have been spared to everything is just terrible.
I can do very little as an individual. But what I have is my reach, and I want to use it. For my upcoming birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to help the people of Ukraine- And yes, money isn't everything I know, but it helps.

The situation in Ukraine is fast-evolving, so MSF are mobilizing an emergency-preparedness response to be ready for a variety of potential needs. Their teams in Belarus and Russia stand ready to provide humanitarian assistance if needed and we they are looking to send teams to other neighboring countries to be ready on standby, either for a response in Ukraine or to provide humanitarian medical assistance to refugees seeking asylum abroad.
As hostilities continue, assuring people’s access to health care and medicines will be critical. Remember, lives are at stake so the amount you donate should make you uncomfortable.
